Getting Started While traveling to a different country, you can still be in touch with your family, friends and business because your Zain line will still be working through another operator’s network in the country you are visiting.
Zain has signed roaming agreements with more than 346 networks in 121 countries. You can send SMS as well as make, receive calls and enjoy a variety of services at affordable rates while traveling abroad. Things to do before you leave
Check with Zain’s Customer service or shops that your mobile subscription allows you to have the roaming service activated for you, this means that you have to pay a refundable security deposit of 600 SDG.
Make sure that Zain has a roaming agreement by referring to Zain Web site and also your mobile phone handset is supported on at least one network in the country you’re traveling to.
Things you do after arriving safely
All you have to do is to switch on your mobile when you arrive at your destination; it will take only a few minutes to be automatically logged on one of the country’s networks.
Things to remember while roaming
To call home or any other country, type the international access code and the country code along with the telephone number. You need to add +2499 for all calls to Sudan.
For example: +2499-XXXX XXXX for dialing a Zain number +24918X-XXX XXX for dialing a land line. When roaming you pay for SMS sent and both making/receiving calls.
Using your mobile while roaming
When you arrive at your destination, your mobile handset will automatically search for a network, To register automatically, just switch on your mobile and the phone will choose one of the available networks in the visited network. To register manually, go to the network selection and choose the option manually, once the search completed, the phone will display all the available network operators you can roam with.
Furthermore, as soon as you reach your destination country, you will receive an SMS from Zain giving you some customized essential information! Zain customers can stay connected while flying with Emirates Airlines as the service of using mobiles on aircrafts is now available.
The new technology, installed by AeroMobile, was successfully tried by Zain customers, during the world’s first commercial flight on Emirates Airlines between Dubai and Casablanca that took place with the new innovative technology.
